Miesha Theresa Tate ( born on 18 August 1986) is an American professional mixed martial artist. She is currently a competitor in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) where she was a past UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Tate previously competed in Strikeforce, where she was the Strikeforce Women’s Bantamweight Champion. Tate was also vice-president for ONE Championship. She is currently ranked 10 in the UFC women's bantamweight rankings as on the 3rd of October, 2022.



 



 Early life



 Tate was the daughter of Michelle Tate and Robert Schmidt. Tate was born in Tacoma, Washington. When she was a young boy Tate would often hang out with the boys in her neighborhood at the playgrounds.

   Abromeit was a top athlete when she was just sixteen years old She was granted the opportunity to study at Duke University in Durham (North Carolina) due to her sixth position in the American ranking of junior tennis players .
